AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION\/ AMERICAN STROKE ASSOCIATION, Bethlehem <\/b>is looking for volunteers for their 2018 Lehigh Valley Heart Walk, September 22, 2018 from 8AM to 2PM.<\/span><\/span> Help is needed with set up, man tents, water stations, and walk route as well as clean up. BETHLEHEM SPECIAL OLYMPICS <\/b>needs volunteers to work 1-1 or in small groups with their athletes in the pool. Practices are held on Tuesday<\/span><\/span> from 6-8pm<\/span><\/span> and start in October; greatest need is first shift from 6-7pm.<\/span><\/span> Volunteers must be strong swimmers, but do not need to know all strokes; freestyle, side stroke, and treading water are a must. Volunteers must complete their Class A Volunteer process which includes a background check (if over 18) and a few online trainings. Many interesting positions ranging from Stage Hands, Ticket Sales, Supply, Runners, Merchandise Coordinators, to Beer Tappers and Wine Servers. Several positions for those who need to remain seated. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles from setup to assistance with games and activities, food and water distribution, bounce house assistance, and cleanup. Volunteers help at a variety of interactive stations including: Giraffe Feedings, Lorikeet Landing, Goat and Barn Yard Exhibit Team, and Kangaroo Tour Team.
