BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014GRAMMY Award-winning and Billboard Chart topping duo The Chainsmokers will electrify the crowd at Musikfest when they perform at the Sands Steel Stage Fri., Aug. 2, 7 p.m. <\/a> Tickets for the concert are $79-$99 and go on sale starting Tues., Dec. 4, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Fri., Dec. 7, 10 a.m., to the public at www.musikfest.org and 610-332-3378.<\/p>\n

Known for their all-star roster of collaborations, The Chainsmokers have evolved into a dominating musical force with a diverse repertoire of songs that have led the duo to become one of music\u2019s hottest recording artists.\u00a0 Comprised of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, the duo offers a signature sound that deftly reaches across indie, progressive and pop realms.\u00a0In 2016, the group catapulted to worldwide stardom with three certified multi-platinum hits.<\/p>\n

\u201cRoses,\u201d featuring Rozes, from their Gold certified debut EP \u201cBouquet,\u201d was a four-time platinum smash that shot to number one on Billboard\u2019s Top Dance & Electronic Albums chart.\u00a0 \u201cDon\u2019t Let Me Down\u201d featuring Daya, from the duo\u2019s Platinum selling second EP \u201cCollage,\u201d was a Top 5 Billboard Hot 100 hit. The duo later won the \u201cBest Dance Recording\u201d GRAMMY for the track at the 2017 GRAMMY Awards. \u201cCloser,\u201d featuring Halsey, was also included on the \u201cCollage EP\u201d and became the longest running number one single of 2016 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.<\/p>\n

In 2017, The Chainsmokers released their first full-length album, \u201cMemories\u2026Do Not Open,\u201d which included hits like \u201cSomething Just Like This\u201d and \u201cParis\u201d and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The latest releases from the duo include “This Feeling,\u201d featuring\u00a0Kelsea Ballerini<\/em>, and \u201cSave Yourself,\u201d a collaboration with dance music tastemaker NGHTMRE, as well as the \u201cSick Boy\u2026Side Effects EP\u201d featuring \u201cSick Boy,\u201d \u201cYou Owe Me,\u201d \u201cSide Effects,\u201d \u201cEverybody Hates Me\u201d and \u201cSomebody.\u201d<\/p>\n

<\/a>The Chainsmokers concert is supported by The Bayou Boys, in association with media partner B104. One of the largest music festivals in the nation, Musikfest features more than 500 performances on 16 stages throughout Bethlehem over 10 days. Proceeds from Musikfest support ArtsQuest\u2019s free programming for the community year-round at the Banana Factory arts center and the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus. Dates for the 36th edition of the festival are Aug. 2-11.<\/p>\n
