Just Born Quality Confections and ArtsQuest celebrate event\u2019s 10th<\/sup> anniversary\u00a0 – Dec. 30-31 with two firework displays<\/em><\/strong><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014Get ready for the world\u2019s sweetest New Year\u2019s Eve celebration as Just Born Quality Confections and ArtsQuest drop a 400-pound PEEPS\u00ae Chick to ring in 2019 at PEEPSFEST\u00ae at SteelStacks Dec. 30-31.<\/p>\n

The 10-year anniversary of this PEEPS-tastic, two-day festival is highlighted by a newly added firework display during the PEEPS\u00ae Chick Rising Ceremony Dec. 30, 5:15 p.m. The family fun culminates with the PEEPS\u00ae New Year’s Eve Party featuring music by Rolie Polie Guacamole as the massive PEEPS\u00ae Chick, weighing in at 400 pounds and standing four feet and nine inches tall, descends for the countdown to the New Year on Dec. 31 at 5:15 p.m., followed by a stunning display of fireworks.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe PEEPS\u00ae Chick is an iconic symbol that represents the PEEPS\u00ae brand, our company and our community,\u201d says Meg Dowd, Corporate Affairs Specialist at Just Born Quality Confections. \u201cWe look forward to celebrating our 10th<\/sup> anniversary with fans, some of who travel from all over the country to be at PEEPSFEST\u00ae!\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with the popular Chick Drop, this year\u2019s PEEPSFEST\u00ae has several new and exciting events for the entire family:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Check out large-scale PEEPS\u00ae sculptures<\/strong> created by local artists and presented by Bethlehem\u2019s SouthSide Arts District Dec. 30-31
\n\u2022 Discover the many uses for the popular marshmallow treats as ArtsQuest Center Executive Chef Barry Sullivan performs live cooking demos for PEEPS\u00ae in the Kitchen<\/strong> at PBS39 Dec. 30 at 12, 2 & 4 p.m.
\n\u2022 Get grossed out as DaVinci Science Center presents GROSSOLOGY\u2122<\/strong>, based on the popular children\u2019s book by Sylvia Branzei, Dec. 31, 10 & 11:30 a.m. & 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

PEEPSFEST\u00ae is presented by Just Born Quality Confections and the nonprofit ArtsQuest. Festival hours are Dec. 30-31, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Admission is free, although a few select activities, such as the Family Disco Lounge and PEEPSFEST\u00ae 5K, require an admission ticket or additional charge.<\/p>\n
