Bethlehem, PA – December 6, 2018<\/strong> – On Friday, December 7, PBS39 will host Sarah McAnulty, Founder of Skype a Scientist<\/a>. McAnulty, a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Connecticut, will stop by the studio and present a lesson in her specialty, the microbiomes of squid. Students will join her in the studio for PBS39\u2019s presentation, which will include dissecting a squid to better understand these amazing creatures and their adaptations.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited to bring science to life through this new partnership,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of PBS39 said. \u201cThis is just one of the many programs offered by our education department, working hard every day to make a meaningful difference in our community.\u201d<\/p>\n Skype a Scientist matches scientists with classes K-12 to hold question and answer sessions on topics of interest to teachers and students. Sessions range from specialities, to what it\u2019s like to be a scientist.
