The Allentown Department of Parks & Recreation\u2019s Summer Playground Program as well as Cedar Sports Day will have even more sports equipment for the summer of 2019!<\/p>\n
IronPigs Charities has awarded Friends of the Allentown Parks a community grant of nearly $5,000 that benefits children who participate in the Allentown Parks & Recreation Department Summer Playground Program. Friends of the Allentown Parks was selected from a pool of 80 applicants. The grant will be presented on January 29.<\/p>\n
This grant will be used to:<\/strong><\/p>\n The Summer Playground Program is a free eight (8) week outdoor program for children in Allentown between the ages of 7 and 15 at 19 different playground sites throughout the city. This program provides supervised activities, games, sports, reading, arts & crafts and fun!
