<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/i><\/h2>\nBETHLEHEM, PA\u2014 Area students had a sweet start to the New Year when their marshmallow masterpieces were chosen as winners in the 2018 PEEPS\u00ae Scholastic Diorama Competition during PEEPSFEST\u00ae, the free family festival presented by Just Born Quality Confections and ArtsQuest Dec. 30-31. More than 130 dioramas incorporating PEEPS\u00ae candy were created by local school children and were on display during the event, which took place at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. Other highlights of the 10th<\/sup> anniversary of PEEPSFEST, which was attended by more than 11,000 people, included two nights of fireworks, new cooking with PEEPS\u00ae demonstrations by ArtsQuest Executive Chef Barry Sullivan and more.<\/p>\n\u201c12 Days of PEEPSmas\u201d by Barbara Yurchishin, Maggie Yurchishin and Evelyn McPoyle of Liberty High School was selected as \u201cPEEPles Choice\u201d winner in the diorama competition based on voting at the festival; the group was also awarded the \u201cCritics\u2019 Choice for Best PEEPSonality\u201d by the official PEEPSFEST\u00ae judging panel.<\/p>\n
First Place winners included Mrs. Yoder\u2019s 2nd Grade Class of Spring Garden Elementary School for its \u201cMonocacy PEEP\u201d display (Grades K-2nd<\/sup>), \u201c2019 PEEPS Drop\u201d by Kathryn Kloiber, Olivia Amorim, Catheraine Hanng and Bridgett Kloiber of Allentown\u2019s Saint John Vianney School (grades 3-6) and \u201cAztec PEEPle\u201d by Itxel Aguilar and Luna Gonzalez of Allentown\u2019s Saint John Vianney School (Grades 7-12).<\/p>\nAll winners took home PEEPS & COMPANY\u00ae Gift Bags, and the Critics\u2019 Choice winners dropped the PEEPS\u00ae Chick on New Year\u2019s Eve during the festival.\u00a0The complete list of diorama competition winners is:<\/p>\n
