(Bethlehem, PA)<\/strong>\u2013 Tape Swap Radio has announced that Weakened Friends<\/strong>, the Portland, Maine-based indie rock band signed to Don Giovanni Records, will headline the next show in their concert series taking place on Thursday, January, 24, 2019 at The Ice House in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n

Weakened Friends have been busy recently, recording the song \u201cHate Mail\u201d with J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. fame in 2017. Their latest single, \u201cBlue Again,\u201d premiered via NPR last August with their new full-length album, Common Blah, being released in October. The last time the band came to the Lehigh Valley was for Tape Swap Radio\u2019s first-ever concert at The Ice House in 2015.<\/p>\n

Also performing at the show will be Asbury Park, NJ indie rock band Well Wisher<\/strong> as well as up-and-coming Lehigh Valley shoegaze\/post-hardcore band Bloodmoon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the show will support The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, a private non-profit, no-kill shelter in Easton. Tickets are on-sale now at tapeswapradio.com<\/strong>.<\/a> Tickets are $10 or $8 with a student ID the night of the show. The show is all ages and doors open at 7:30 PM. Free parking is available at The Ice House.<\/p>\n

Tape Swap Radio is a live music series started in 2013 dedicated to independent and DIY music in the Lehigh Valley. Tape Swap Radio airs every other Friday at 11 PM on WDIY 88.1 FM, Lehigh Valley\u2019s public radio station and NPR station. Podcasts and video are made available on their website.<\/p>\n

Tape Swap Radio\u2019s accompanying concert series has been bringing live shows to the Lehigh Valley for the past three years. Since 2015, 2,000+ attendees have helped Tape Swap Radio raise $9,473 for worthy non-profit and community organizations and programs like The Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown and The Homebase Skateshop After-School Skate Program in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n

Tape Swap Radio is one participating member of IceHouse Tonight, a non-profit organization responsible for artistic events at The Ice House in Bethlehem.<\/p>\n
