March 8 & 9 – PIAA Playoff Basketball Games this Weekend<\/a><\/div>\n
\n

Girls Basketball vs. Abington,\u00a0PIAA Playoffs at\u00a0Council Rock South HS, $6 tickets at the door for all ages.<\/p>\n

March 8 – Early Dismissal<\/a><\/div>\n
PHS, OMS and SMS will dismiss at 1 PM.<\/div>\n
\n

Elementary Schools will dismiss at 1:45 PM.\u00a0 This is 1 hour 45 minutes earlier than usual.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

\n
March 7-10 – OMS and SMS Spring Musicals Open this Week!<\/a><\/div>\n
OMS will perform “Into the Woods, Jr.” at OMS Auditorium at 7 PM on March 7 and 8 at 7 PM and March 9 and 10 at 2 PM.<\/div>\n
\n

SMS will perform “Bugsy Malone, Jr.” at SMS Auditorium at 7 PM on March 7 and 8 at 7 PM and March 9 at 2 PM and 7 PM.<\/p>\n

All tickets $5 at the door.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n

March 12 – Intergenerational Strings and Piano Sneak Preview Event<\/a><\/div>\n
Parkland High School Strolling Strings, and Phoebe Berks resident senior group \u201cPiano Quartet,\u201d will rehearse two pieces arranged for piano and strings by Phoebe resident Bob Masenheimer at 3:30 PM at Parkland High School in preparation for a performance at the\u00a0Phoebe Institute on\u00a0Aging Benefit at DeSales University.<\/div>\n

March 12 – Larry Levitt, retired LVHN Neurologist, Visits PHS Biomed Class<\/a><\/div>\n
At 12 noon, Dr. Levitt will visit the PHS Biomedical students.\u00a0 He will discuss his career as a neurologist and end with several clinical cases, their human connection, and then\u00a0challenge the students\u00a0to identify a patient who had a neurological problem whom they knew or knew of. They will then write a summary of\u00a0that patient and what the disease which the patient had was about. The submissions will be reviewed by the biology teachers and Dr. Levitt and the 10 best will receive a\u00a0signed copy of Dr. Levitt’s book, Uncommon Wisdom: True Tales of what our Lives as Doctors have Taught Us about Love, Faith and Healing<\/strong><\/em>.<\/div>\n

March 17 – Designer Handbag Bingo for the Parkland Ed Foundation<\/a><\/div>\n
Join the Class of 1979 as they run BINGO at the Schnecksville Fire Company Pavillion.\u00a0 Doors open at 12 noon and games begin at 1 PM.\u00a0 A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Parkland Education Foundation.<\/div>\n

Science Fair 1st Place Winners<\/a><\/div>\n
Congratulations to all of the PHS, OMS and SMS students who won 1st Place<\/a> at the PA Junior Academy of Science Regional Science Fair Competition. OMS had 44 1st place recipients with 3 perfect scores, SMS had 76 1st place recipients with 4 perfect scores and PHS had 30 1st place recipients with 2 perfect scores. These students will move on to the State PJAS Science Fair Competition at Penn State in May.<\/div>\n

Feb 24 – March 15 – An array of award-winning artwork is on display at The Sharadin Art Building – The Miller Gallery at Kutztown University who will host the East Central PA Scholastic Art Awards on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 1 PM when all Special Art Awards will be announced (Note this is a new date – March 3 is canceled due to forecast).\u00a0 The public is invited to enjoy\u00a0the exhibition during Gallery hours:\u00a0Tues-Fri 10 AM-4 PM, Sat 12-4 PM and Sun 2-4 PM.\u00a0 Closed Mondays.<\/div>\n
