{"id":86657,"date":"2019-03-18T20:29:40","date_gmt":"2019-03-19T00:29:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=86657"},"modified":"2019-03-18T20:29:40","modified_gmt":"2019-03-19T00:29:40","slug":"michael-slack-named-interim-president-ceo-of-kidspeace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thevalleyledger.com\/?p=86657","title":{"rendered":"Michael Slack Named Interim President\/CEO of KidsPeace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (March 18, 2019) <\/strong>&#8211; The KidsPeace Board of Directors announced that <strong>Michael Slack has been named Interim President and Chief Executive Officer<\/strong>, effective immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Slack succeeds William Isemann, who has served as President and CEO of the organization since 2008 and who will transition to the new role of Advisor to the KidsPeace Board of Directors. Isemann announced in April 2018 his intention to retire as CEO during 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In announcing the leadership changes, Dr. Scott Reines, Chairman of the KidsPeace Board of Directors, noted that since Isemann\u2019s announcement last year the board has conducted a wide-ranging review of the organization\u2019s current strengths and future potential advancement, in part based on trends in its industry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result of that review, the Board believes the KidsPeace organization today is well-positioned for growth and success in fulfilling our mission in the future, and that assessment in large part reflects our confidence in Mike Slack\u2019s leadership as Interim President and CEO,\u201d Reines said. \u201cWe are grateful to Will Isemann for his superb leadership of KidsPeace over the past 10 years, and delighted that he will continue to contribute to our work in his new role as Advisor to the Board. We look forward to working closely with Mike as he leads KidsPeace into the next phase of its mission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m honored that the Board chose me to follow Will Isemann in leading this organization,\u201d Slack said. \u201cKidsPeace has been a force for positive change for the kids and adults we serve since 1882, and I\u2019m looking forward to working with the dedicated associates throughout our organization to achieve greater success for our clients in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Slack joined KidsPeace in 2001 as director of business development, and has served in a variety of positions in his tenure, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since 2016. In that role he has been responsible for all KidsPeace behavioral and healthcare programming and operations. Slack holds a BS\/BA degree from the University of Delaware and a MBA in Health Care Administration from Temple University. He lives in Weisenberg Township, PA.<\/p>\n<p><em>Since 1882, KidsPeace has been building on its expertise to give hope, help and healing to children, adults and those who love them.
