\nThis 30 minute documentary will explore the tragic issue of human trafficking in the Lehigh Valley.<\/strong>

\nBethlehem, PA – March 27, 2019<\/strong> – Close to Home: Human Trafficking, the Survivor Story<\/em> will debut at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019. This project is a co-production between PBS39 and Lehigh Valley Health Network<\/a> (LVHN) with financial support from Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.<\/a> and Capital BlueCross<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Emmy award-winning Close to Home<\/em> series was designed to bring hope to people who are suffering. Previous documentaries, created by PBS39, explored the topics of homelessness, Vietnam veterans and cancer survivorship. In the final installment, PBS39 tackles the tragic issue of human trafficking. This documentary, produced by Dr. Teri Haddad, exposes the problem in our region while empowering recovering survivors by giving them a platform to share their stories.<\/p>\n

\u201cPart of the responsibility of PBS39 is to uncover these serious issues affecting our community,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of PBS39 said. \u201cThe Lehigh Valley is fortunate to have organizations that are committed to combating sex trafficking in our region, but they cannot do it alone. We hope this project inspires citizens to take action and help their neighbors.\u201d<\/p>\n
