Allentown, PA, April 4, 2019<\/strong> \u2013 United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley (UWGLV) announces the recipients for this year\u2019s 2018-19 Celebration of Caring campaign awards. These awards recognize individuals and corporations who succeeded in their community contribution through giving, volunteering and advocating. UWGLV will present these awards on Thursday, April 18 at DeSales University.<\/p>\n The 2018-19 award recipients include:<\/p>\n City Center Allentown \u2013 LIVE UNITED Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to an organization\/company whose engagement in the Lehigh Valley community results in a significant contribution toward improving the quality of life for those in need.<\/em><\/p>\n Buckeye Partners, L.P. \u2013 Campaign Chairs\u2019 Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to a company that has demonstrated leadership and innovation in conducting its United Way campaign and an ability to increase awareness about United Way\u2019s mission and vision.<\/em><\/p>\n ArtsQuest \u2013 Air Products Leonard Pool Impact Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented by Air Products, the award recognizes a non-profit organization that demonstrates commitment to community leadership, stewardship of community resources, active volunteer engagement, and improves lives.<\/em><\/p>\n Dennis Hower of Teamsters Local 773 \u2013 Labor Achievement Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to an individual member or team from organized labor that actively supports our community organizations by moving people to action through volunteer service and positively impacts our community.<\/em><\/p>\n Tony Cioffi of Adams Outdoor Advertising \u2013 Community Building Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to an individual or organization that supports United Way in its community-building efforts, encourages cooperation, contributes talents and sustains partnerships.<\/em><\/p>\n Anne Baum \u2013 Campaign Volunteer Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to a campaign volunteer who demonstrates outstanding leadership, uses United Way\u2019s best practices and make every effort to help the campaign succeed.<\/em><\/p>\n Bob Jacobs \u2013 Carbon County Champion Award <\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to a Carbon County resident, business or organization that demonstrates outstanding community leadership and supports United Way\u2019s efforts to improve the quality of life for people living and working in Carbon County.<\/em><\/p>\n Samantha Moyer \u2013<\/strong> TeenWorks\u2122<\/sup> “Making a Difference” Award<\/strong><\/p>\n Presented to recognize the TeenWorks \u201cProject of the Year\u201d conducted by local teens and funded through a TeenWorks grant.
