Lopez and Staci Inez have joined the team of Reporter Corps journalists at PBS39.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p><strong>Bethlehem, PA.<\/strong> &#8211; PBS39 has added K.C. Lopez and Staci Inez to its team of local journalists. Their reports will be featured online and on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/pbs39-news-tonight\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PBS39 News Tonight<\/a>, a nightly televised newscast airing at 6:30 and 11 on PBS39.<\/p>\n<p>Lopez comes to PBS39 from the nation\u2019s number one market, the New York City DMA, where she worked as a general assignment reporter. While at WMBC-TV, the CNN affiliate in northern New Jersey, Lopez anchored part-time and contributed reports to the station\u2019s hour-long evening news program. She reported on breaking news stories including the Hoboken train crash, the manhunt for terror suspect Ahmad Rahami, the George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal and more. Lopez earned a Bachelor\u2019s degree in media, culture and communication from New York University.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am grateful for this opportunity to undertake a different kind of journalism,&#8221; Lopez said. &#8220;PBS39 News Tonight has a strong focus on the community, and I look forward to producing meaningful stories.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inez joins PBS39 from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where she worked as a morning reporter for nearly two years. While in South Carolina, she covered everything from the record amounts of flooding during Hurricane Florence, to the Carolina Country Music Fest. Prior to her work in Myrtle Beach, Inez worked as a multimedia journalist with Duke University\u2019s Office of News and Communications. She also spent time on the assignment desk at WRAL-TV in Raleigh, North Carolina. Inez graduated from North Carolina Central University where she earned a degree in mass communication. Inez is also a published author and released her first book in September 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am proud to join the team at PBS39,&#8221; Inez said. &#8220;PBS39 News Tonight looks beyond news of the day and I am excited to contribute and tell the untold stories of the Greater Lehigh Valley.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Reporter Corps initiative, which launched in 2018, was one of the most significant journalistic hirings in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania in decades. Lopez and Inez join journalists covering the ten counties that make up the Greater Lehigh Valley, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/lehigh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lehigh<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/northampton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Northampton<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/bucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bucks<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/montgomery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Montgomery<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/berks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Berks<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/schuylkill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Schuylkill<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/carbon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carbon<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/monroe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Monroe<\/a> in Pennsylvania, plus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/warren\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Warren<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wlvt.org\/reportercorps\/hunterdon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hunterdon<\/a> counties in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to welcome these two promising journalists to our robust reporting team,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer at PBS39, said. \u201cK.C. and Staci bring a wealth of experience and perspective.
