May 4 – Teacher Tech Conference<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Leap to Hyperspeed at Parkland SD on May the 4th for our annual celebration of the best tools,\u00a0resources, and strategies that\u00a0EdTech has to offer!\u00a0Teacher Tech Con is oriented to support the values espoused in Parkland Ready 21: fostering learner-centric classrooms, supporting student voice and choice, providing authentic projects, building 21st century skills, and creating upstanding digital citizens. May 4 – Clothing Drive at PHS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

May 5 – PHS Leo Club Annual Duck Race<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

MAY<\/strong>\u00a03\u00a02019\u00a01:07\u00a0PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual Leo Club Duck Race will raise money to support Parkland High School’s Caring Closets, proving food and personal care items to students in need.\u00a0 Ducks will be sent down the Jordan Creek with the lucky first place winner winning $1,000!<\/p>\n

May 6 – Ramadan Mubarak<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

MAY<\/strong>\u00a03\u00a02019\u00a01:06\u00a0PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ramadan starts today for Muslims, which includes fasting for one month during daylight hours.<\/p>\n

May 7 – 5th Grade Band and Strings Concert<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

MAY<\/strong>\u00a03\u00a02019\u00a01:00\u00a0PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

This annual concert brings together all 5th grade band and string students from all 8 elementary schools together for one gigantic concert.\u00a0 It’s a highlight of the year – 7:30 PM at PHS.<\/p>\n

May 8 – National School Nurse Day<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

695 tickets sold to Post Prom as of May 3!\u00a0 That’s a fantastic number as we look forward to the senior class spending ONE LAST NIGHT TOGETHER!\u00a0 King and Queen will be announced during the Prom.<\/p>\n
