May 11 – Prom and Post Prom<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

765 tickets sold to Post Prom as of May 9!\u00a0 That’s a fantastic number as we look forward to the senior class spending ONE LAST NIGHT TOGETHER!\u00a0 King and Queen will be announced during the Prom.<\/p>\n

May 13 – Math 24 Challenge<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Kernsville, Kratzer, Fogelsville, Jaindl, Ironton, and Parkway Manor will take 4th and 5th grade students to the Math 24 Challenge at the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit.<\/p>\n

May 13 – Staff Member Bouquet Sale<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Honor a staff member with our annual flower bouquet sale.\u00a0 Flowers will be delivered to the staff member of your choice during the last week of school with your personal sentiments.\u00a0 Order and pay\u00a0online here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

May 15 – Little Italy Night at Springhouse<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Springhouse Middle School invites the entire Parkland Community to enjoy a delicious Italian dinner and SMS Art Show on May 15, 5:30 – 7:30 PM.\u00a0 $8 at the door includes entrees, salad, dessert and soft drink and unlimited pasta from Mario’s Pizza of Northampton.<\/p>\n

May 15 – Harlem Wizards Summer Camp Early Bird Discount Deadline<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

You know the Wizards from the tricks, hoops and alley-oops, but this pro team is sending out their best and brightest to run a basketball clinic and summer camp for kids ages 5-13.\u00a0 The deadline to\u00a0register with an early bird discount\u00a0<\/a>is today.<\/p>\n

May 17 – Parkway Manor Wax Museum<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Third graders present projects from their unit on “Good Citizens.”\u00a0 12:45 – 1:15 PM<\/p>\n

May 19 – PHS Leo Club Annual Duck Race<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual Leo Club Duck Race will raise money to support Parkland High School’s Caring Closets, proving food and personal care items to students in need.\u00a0 Ducks will be sent down the Jordan Creek at 11 AM with the lucky first place winner winning $1,000!<\/p>\n

May 24 – STEMM Camp Deadline to register<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Call all middle and high school students who love science!\u00a0 Summer STEMM Academies are occur this summer and May 24th is the last day to register.\u00a0 More info here:

Support the cast of 26 Pebbles – Invited to Perform at International Theatre Festival<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The PHS fall production of 26 Pebbles has qualified for a spot at the International Thespian Conference in Nebraska. Only 11 schools in the country receive this honor and are invited to present their show on the main stage for the 4,000 conference attendees who come to experience a weeklong immersion in workshops; interaction with colleges, industry leaders, and Broadway professionals; and opportunities to be inspired by the best high school theatre in the nation.
