Lamont McClure is pleased to announce the continuation of the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In June, coupons worth $20.00 will be available to Northampton County residents age 60 and over who meet the income eligibility criteria. The coupons are distributed by the Northampton County Area Agency on Aging Department.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The $20 coupon can be used to purchase food at farmer\u2019s markets. Any Northampton County resident age 60 or over who meets income eligibility (example:<\/p>\n

$23,107\/yr. for a single person in 2019, and $31,284 for a couple) can obtain a coupon. For married couples, both spouses may obtain coupons. Proof of age and residence must be presented by all persons wishing to receive coupons. Program policies allow a person to obtain coupons for another person only if they have a completed and signed proxy form. A person may only serve as proxy for up to four other participants. Identification with date of birth and address, of the older adult, must be shown when presenting a proxy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The form will be available for pick-up at the AAA office, 2801 Emrick Boulevard, Bethlehem, all senior centers, and will also be available on the AAA\u2019s website, www.northamptoncounty.org.<\/a> Persons may only receive coupons once during the program, which runs from June 3, 2019 until September 26, 2019.<\/p>\n
