BETHLEHEM, PA \u2014The Elton John biopic \u201cRocketman,\u201d \u201cJimi Hendrix: Electric Church\u201d and \u201cWoodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music\u201d are among the many rock films and documentaries being shown at the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas of the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cRocketman,\u201d the epic musical fantasy starring actor Taron Egerton as iconic singer and composer Elton John, and directed by Dexter Fletcher (co-director of \u201cBohemian Rhapsody\u201d), opens May 30, 9:45 p.m. with a sneak preview screening. Tickets for the film, which kicks off its full run May 31, are $7.50-$10.<\/p>\n

To kick off ArtsQuest\u2019s \u201cPeace, Love & Rock \u2018N\u2019 Roll\u201d weekend celebration of Woodstock\u2019s 50th<\/sup> anniversary, the film \u201cWoodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music\u201d opens Aug. 12, 1:30 p.m. Tickets for the screenings are $9.50-$12. As part of \u201cPeace, Love & Rock \u2018N\u2019 Roll,\u201d free concerts will also be held at Levitt Pavilion Aug. 16-18.\u00a0 Jefferson Airplane tribute Reverend Jefferson, Craig Thatcher presenting The Music of Jimi Hendrix and Experience Janis, a heartfelt Janis Joplin tribute, are among the performers taking the stage. \u201cRolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese,\u201d which opens June 11, 7:30 p.m., is a one-of-a-kind experience. Created by master filmmaker Martin Scorsese, the film brings to life the story of the troubled spirit of America in 1975, and the joyous music that Bob Dylan brought to the stage during the fall of that year. Tickets for the show are $9.50-$12.<\/p>\n
