\nDonations from BB&T Total $25,000<\/strong>
\nFirst Charity Challenge focused on nonprofits serving less fortunate women and children<\/strong><\/p>\n

BETHLEHEM, PA (5\/22\/19)\u00a0<\/strong>– Five independent nonprofits throughout the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, received donations from BB&T totaling $25,000 this month as part of the company\u2019s first Lehigh Valley Charity Challenge.<\/p>\n

The Lehigh Valley Charity Challenge was run on social media during March 2019. BB&T Community Development\/CRA\/Fair Credit Lending Officer David Grow, with help from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, identified five small charities that are helping those less-fortunate with emphasis on children and women. Lehigh Valley residents were encouraged to vote via social media for their favorite charity. A total donation of $25,000 was then awarded based on how each charity finished in the voting, with the dollars split as follows:<\/p>\n
