\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n June 19, 2019 <\/strong>\u2013 Univest Financial educated 3,000 students through its financial literacy initiatives during the 2018 -2019 academic year. Employees visited local schools and youth organizations to teach age-appropriate lessons about saving money and making smart financial choices. Univest also partnered with EverFi, a leading education technology company that provides real world education through innovative digital learning.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Through its partnership with EverFi, Univest delivered tailored financial education to eleven local schools in an effort to improve the students\u2019 financial proficiency. This year, the program reached 1,200 students who completed 3,610 hours of critical learning. The courses are designed to empower learners to make safe, smart and informed financial decisions leading to a successful financial future. Univest sponsors the program to offer access to the curriculum at no cost to the schools or taxpayers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Univest also participated in the American Bankers Association\u2019s Get Smart About Credit Day and Teach Children to Save Day. These national campaigns which occur every October and April, respectively, raise awareness about the importance of saving, using credit wisely and encourage smarter financial choices later in life.
