Learn about the wonderful world of Succulents<\/strong> on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 am \u2013 12:00 pm at Penn State Lehigh Valley, Room 224, 2809 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley PA 18034. This diverse group of plants are easy to grow with a few basic strategies. Topics covered include popular varieties of succulents, light and soil requirements, and avoiding common problems and pests. Every participant will take home plants, soil, and a container to assemble their own succulent garden. This workshop is $20.00 and includes a planter with succulents. This presentation will cover the types, care and pruning of hydrangeas. Gardeners need to know the type of hydrangea they are growing as that will influence when and how it should be pruned in order to obtain the best blooms along with the optimal conditions required. This talk will cover the proven varieties which have been used for years along with some of the newest exciting varieties being produced for bloom color and dependability.
