Es Tiempo, PBS39\u2019s Spanish-language talk show, will return for a third season beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bethlehem, PA. – August 30, 2019<\/strong> – The third season of PBS39\u2019s <\/span>Es Tiempo<\/em> will premiere at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019. This weekly Spanish-language talk show highlights the diversity and cultural essence of the Latino community in the Greater Lehigh Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

Es Tiempo<\/em> discusses issues surrounding education, culture, politics and economics. The show also features lifestyle segments focused on cooking, fitness and more. Guests include business owners, educators, entertainers and leaders in the Latino community from across the Lehigh Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPBS39 is proud to present a third season of <\/span>Es Tiempo<\/em>,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of PBS39 said. \u201cThe team has done a fantastic job capturing the vibrancy of the community, while tackling important issues. We are excited to see this show and audience continue to grow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Es Tiempo<\/em> is hosted by Genesis Ortega and Victor Martinez. Ortega has a passion for community outreach, especially as it pertains to the Hispanic community. She was recently named <\/span>Hispanic Businessperson of the Year<\/a> during the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Business Awards. In addition to hosting, she serves as Membership and Community Engagement Ambassador for PBS39. Ortega also serves as a Board member of the FE Foundation program, which brings together students, university faculties, and local businesses and organizations in order to introduce comprehensive life skills and entrepreneurial training to high school students of the Lehigh Valley. Prior to joining the team at PBS39, she worked in Congressman Charlie Dent\u2019s office. There, she had the opportunity to interact with constituents and community leaders from across the 15th Congressional District in Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Lebanon, and Dauphin counties. Ortega studied International Management and French at Moravian College, graduating in 2013. She is fluent in both Spanish and French and had the opportunity to study abroad in both Spain and France.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am honored to work on a project that fulfills a need in our community, \u201d Ortega said. \u201cI am proud of all we have done so far on <\/span>Es Tiempo<\/em>. I cannot wait for our audience to see what we\u2019re working on now!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Victor Martinez, also known as VJ MAR, began his broadcast career in local Spanish radio in Orlando, Florida at the age of 13. At the age of 19, Martinez became one of the youngest program directors in the U.S. and was later recognized by R&R magazine for his promising talent. While in radio, he expanded his broadcast career by becoming a reporter\/anchor for WFMZ in Allentown. Later he worked for NY1 News in New York City where he covered the United Nations, the September 11 attacks and the 2003 World Series. After three years, he stepped away to become the Programming Director for Clear Channel Radio, successfully launching VIVA 105.7FM, Mega 101 and Rumba 100.3. After a few years, Victor returned as a reporter for Fox 5\/Georgia TV where he became an Emmy award-winning journalist. In 2007, he returned to Florida as the Managing Editor and Anchor of News 13 En Espa\u00f1ol, where he won two Paoli Awards & the Coqui de Oro Award. He then returned to radio as the Program Director at Caliente 105.3FM and then Program Director at El Zol 107.9 where he was nominated for the \u201cMedalla Cortez\u201d Award for Program Director of the year and was honored as the Person of the Year after raising more than $300K for the Children\u2019s Miracle Network.<\/span><\/p>\n
