The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation closes out its 2019 Movies in the Park series on Saturday, September 14 with the showing of \u201cSpider-man: Into the Spider-Verse\u201d<\/em> at Stevens Park, located at 6th<\/sup> and Tilghman streets.\u00a0 The approximately 117-minute movie is rated PG and will begin at dusk (approximately 7:45pm).<\/p>\n

The movie stars Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Halie Steinfeld and Mahershala Ali.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpider-man: Into the Spider-Verse\u201d<\/em> was the winner of numerous awards including the 2019 Oscar for Best Animated Feature and the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture \u2013 Animated.<\/p>\n

\u201cTeen Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) becomes the Spider-Man of this reality, crossing his path with five counterparts from other dimensions to stop a threat for all realities.\u201d<\/p>\n

The movie will be preceded by various activities presented by the Jordan Heights Neighborhood Association and Community Action Development Corporation of Allentown. The Play Street event will take place from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and includes a DJ, arts and crafts, popcorn, cotton candy and refreshments.<\/p>\n

The rain date is Sunday, September 15.<\/p>\n
