This debate, featuring the candidates running for Northampton County District Attorney, will air on PBS39 at 7 p.m. on September 23.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bethlehem, PA. – September 19, 2019<\/strong> – On Monday, September 23, PBS39 and <\/span>The Morning Call<\/a> will host a live debate featuring the candidates running for Northampton County District Attorney. This debate is part of PBS39’s <\/span>Who Will Lead?<\/em><\/a> series, which will continue through the November 2020 election cycle.<\/span><\/p>\n

PBS39 Host Monica Evans will moderate this debate alongside Professor of Political Science and Director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion, Dr. Christopher Borick and reporter for The Morning Call, Nicole Radzievich. This live debate will feature candidates Terry Houck (D) and Tom Carroll (R).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt PBS39 it is our privilege and duty to educate and inform citizens,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer at PBS39 said. \u201cWe are proud to present this series of debates throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

About Monica Evans<\/strong>
\nPBS39 Executive Producer and Host Monica Evans has more than three decades of broadcast experience. Before joining the team at PBS39, Evans spent 11 years as a senior reporter for the FOX affiliate in Kansas City, Missouri. Previously, she worked as a court and crime reporter for the ABC affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts, an arts and entertainment reporter for the FOX affiliate in Hartford, Connecticut and a talk show host\/producer for the NBC affiliate in Hartford. Evans has a bachelor\u2019s degree in communications and journalism from Central Connecticut State University.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Nicole Radzievich<\/strong>
\nNicole Radzievich covers Bethlehem and Bethlehem Township for The Morning Call. She is originally from the coal region (Pottsville) and left to go to school at Penn State. She graduated with degrees in political science and journalism and completed an international communications program at the University of Manchester, U.K. She previously worked at The Express-Times.<\/span><\/p>\n

About Dr. Christopher Borick<\/strong>
\nDr. Christopher Borick, Professor of Political Science and Director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion, is a nationally recognized public opinion researcher who has conducted more than 300 large-scale public opinion surveys. The results of these surveys have appeared in numerous publications including Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post. Borick has also provided analysis for the BBC, National Public Radio, PBS, MSNBC, CBS News and NBC Nightly News. Borick earned his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University and a master\u2019s degree from East Stroudsburg University. He completed his doctoral work at The State University of New York at Binghamton in the area of public policy analysis.<\/span><\/p>\n
