Wasteland Baby! Tour 2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Wind Creek Event Center, November 16, 2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not the wakin\u2019, it\u2019s the risin.\u201d Nina Cried Power- Hozier<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It was freezing tonight in Bethlehem, PA.  as  Singer\/Songwriter Angie McMahon ( https:\/\/www.angiemcmahon.com\/<\/a> ) opened for Hozier. She sang a few songs and talked to the excited crowd. Angie sang \u201cSilver Springs\u201d by Fleetwood Mac. She is a talented musician and got the crowd ready for Hozier.<\/p>\n

Hozier came out and went right into \u201cAs it Was.\u201d His music is Rock N Roll, Blues<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and, soul<\/span> <\/span><\/span>influenced. If Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, Nina<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Samone<\/span> <\/span><\/span>decided to pick a blend of different music they would want to listen to, Hozier would be the one. You could add some Stevie Wonder<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and<\/span> <\/span><\/span>mix in some Stevie Ray Vaughan with Robert Johnson\u2019s soulfulness. Hozier is creative, lasting and makes you feel what he sings. \u201cTo Be Alone\u201d is a beautiful song. You can tell he feels what he writes about.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>He\u2019s gritty and<\/span> <\/span><\/span>it\u2019s just<\/span> <\/span><\/span>him and his band.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The crowd was singing along and so many people were into every song. Hozier was even impressed. He talked to the crowd and<\/span> <\/span><\/span>he<\/span> <\/span><\/span>was happy that everyone was singing. H<\/span>e sang an unreleased song, \u201cJack Boot Jump.\u201d He asked us not to film it and you saw a sea of cell phones disappear. He talked about the influence Woodie Guthrie had on the song.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Hozier wanted us to be \u201cpresent\u201d and in the moment.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span> <\/span><\/span>talked to quite a few seriously dedicated Hozier fans. I met one girl who said she came from Virginia to see him again.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>People come from all over and I listened to quite a few stories.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Hozier sang, \u201cWould That I,\u201d \u201cAngel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene\u201d, \u201cSomeone New\u201d which is such a positive, beautiful song. You can fall in love every day. It\u2019s a great concept.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

The crowd was<\/span> <\/span><\/span>ecstatic,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and people were into this show. Singing along, dancing and just having a blast. The Wind Creek Event Center folks got a shout out from Angie and from Hozier. They did a great job with this sold-out show.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hozier sang, \u201cShrike\u201d, \u201cJackie and Wilson.\u201d His band is incredible. Hozier\u2019s voice is one of a kind. His bass player,<\/span> Alex Ryan, Rory Doyle is his drummer.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Rachel Beauregard, Emily Kohavi, Jessica Berry, Kristen Rogers and, Cormac<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Curren<\/span> <\/span><\/span>is a keyboardist and arranger.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He sang \u201cMoment\u2019s Silence (Common<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Toungue<\/span>)\u201d and it was as if this man was channeling Robert Johnson and playing guitar. He\u2019s a fascinating creature to watch. He sang \u201cMovement,\u201d a sexy,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>blues woven song.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>It is beautiful and had every person at Wind Creek moving!<\/span> <\/span><\/span>He writes songs with sto<\/span>ries that you could hear over and over.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>He is telling beautiful stories.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>Hozier\u2019s songs have gritty, intense guitar riffs. You feel all the blues he intertwines in his songs.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He ended the evening by taking Bethlehem to church. He sang, \u201cTake Me to Church.\u201d It was incredible. This show was wild and vibrant in music.<\/span> <\/span><\/span>He has power in his voice and what an incredible show. If you haven\u2019t seen him in concert, go see him. Get those tickets and let him take you to the church of HOZIER.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
