Darci’s appearances were some of the most attended tour stops attracting a packed multi-generation audience.

Not only did 2018 find the singer/ventriloquist performing coast to coast, logging more than 50 stops across the country and selling collectively more than 100,000 tickets (grossing almost $5 million) but she also performed and hosted her first original TV special “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas” on NBC. The program was a hit, attracting 6.565 million total viewers and earning a re-air by the network the week following its premiere. To top it, off Darci released her first-ever single “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” from the special. She also marked an important milestone with her stage debut at the Grand Ole Opry and has since returned for multiple performances.

Winning NBCs “Americas Got Talent” at just 12-years old by the most votes for a final performance in the history of the show, Singer/Ventriloquist Darci Lynne impresses audiences across the country with her sweetheart disposition and undeniable, show-stopping talent beyond her years. Accompanied by her musical friends including a divaesque rabbit: Petunia, a shy and soulful mouse: Oscar and a sarcastic old woman: Edna. Singing through her friends helped the young entertainer find a voice inside she didn’t know she had and helped her overcome a lifelong struggle with shyness. An Oklahoma native, Darci began participating in talent-based pageants at a young age and picked up ventriloquism shortly after. Two weeks later, Darci began tackling talent shows, eventually making it to the biggest talent show on television, NBCs “Americas Got Talent.” Following her big win, she has been featured on NBCs “Little Big Shots,” Food Networks “Kids Baking Championship,” “Ellen” and “TODAY.” Darci and her friends are continually on the road bringing smiles to audiences across the country. Visit: https://www.darcilynne.com/ .

https://www.windcreekeventcenter.com/events/darci-lynne-farmer-fresh-out-of-the-box/

Hi Darci, This is such an exciting tour. Please tell us a little bit about what we can expect from the “Fresh Out of the Box”?

Darci Lynne- Hi. So, for the tour, we are booked all the way up until November of 2020. It’s going to be a lot of fun. It is a family friendly show. You can bring your whole family, even your grandparents. There’s a live band playing all the music and there will be about six different genres of music that I’ll go through. I’ll have all four friends with me, so Petunia, Oscar, Edna and Katie. What I’ve added so far is singing a little bit more with my mouth open.

Do you think you will be releasing an album sometime soon?

Darci Lynne- That is definitely a goal of mine in the future. I’d love to write my own music, but not right now.

Are you expecting anything from the fans during the shows?

Darci Lynne- I never really know what to expect. Every time I go to different places, everyone is different. Each place, I’ll meet different people but they all have one thing in common is that they are my fans and I love that about them. Meeting them is fun. Everyone is so supportive. I love getting to meet everyone, where I go.

Congratulations on partnered with Mattel as a Role Model for Barbie’s “Be Anything Tour”. It is always great to have positive role models so that was awesome.

Darci Lynne- Oh, thank you. That was great. I was super, super excited to do that. To have little girls and even little boys to look up to me and to be able to relay my advice onto them and give them encouragement was empowering.

Is there a certain act or song you always look forward to perform at each show or is everything meaningful to you in a different way?

Darci Lynne- I think my favorite parts of the show change every now and then. One part of the show, I’ll be like, oh my gosh that was super fun to do. Then, another part I’ll be like oh no that’s more fun to do. I do like that I got to add myself singing with no friends and no puppets which was good for me. I was so excited to get to do that. I can’t pick a favorite puppet either. They are all great!

Did you always know that this is what you wanted to do?

Darci Lynne- No, definitely now. I had been doing these beauty pageants with this girl for a while and her talent was ventriloquism. I had never seen it before and it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I wanted to try it and I was so mesmerized and intrigued. I asked her for tips and pointers then I just went home and I’d do it around the house, in the bathroom mirror. I’d teach myself the basics and watch YouTube videos of past ventriloquist but no I didn’t know that just getting into it and trying it would lead to all of these amazing opportunities. I just thought it was fun and I didn’t know this was the path I was headed on.

Did you have a favorite moment from being on America’s Got Talent? You did an amazing job.

Darci Lynne- Thank you. One of my favorite parts was when I had my old lady Edna with me and she made Simon Cowell blush. That was one of the scariest things I’ve ever done but one of the most fun because it made him blush and winning was the highlight.

What do you want to say to the fans that will be coming to the shows and to the people coming to the Bethlehem show at the Wind Creek Event Center?

Darci Lynne- I’m super excited to see everyone there. If you’re looking for something to do, come on down, it’s a really fun show. Even if you don’t know me but I’m just so excited to meet everyone. Get your tickets, they will sell out so I’m super excited.

What do you think will be next after the tour?

Darci Lynne- I have some super exciting things coming up but I can’t really talk about them. I have to keep them under wraps for now, but all I can say is stay tuned for what’s next. I am so excited.

Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me today for The Valley Ledger. Congratulations on everything and safe travels.

Darci Lynne- It was nice talking to you.
