BETHLEHEM, PA\u2014Indie act Guided by Voices, Celtic and world group Scythian and Musikfest favorites Garden State Radio and Igor & The Red Elvises are among the five new shows announced for the ArtsQuest Center\u2019s Musikfest Caf\u00e9 presented by Yuengling. Tickets for the shows go on sale Jan. 7, noon, to ArtsQuest Members and Jan. 10, 10 a.m., to the public at www.steelstacks.org<\/a> and 610-332-3378.<\/p>\n

On April 24, 7:30 p.m., Guided by Voices makes its first appearance at the Musikfest Caf\u00e9. Led by Robert Pollard, one of the greatest songwriters of our era, the group was formed in the early 1980s in Ohio and influenced by a host of sounds ranging from garage rock to post-punk. Among the band\u2019s many recordings are \u201cSpace Gun,\u201d \u201cUnder the Bushes,\u201d \u201cDo the Collapse,\u201d \u201cSweating the Plague\u201d and \u201cVampire on Titus.\u201d<\/p>\n
