WHAT:<\/strong> Community Bonfire to launch event for new community organization, Lehigh Valley Stands Up.<\/p>\n WHEN:<\/strong> Saturday, January 18th, 5:00 – 7:00pm EST<\/p>\n WHERE:<\/strong>\u00a0 Resurrected Life Community Parking Lot, 144 N. 9th St. Allentown, PA<\/p>\n ALLENTOWN, PA — Lehigh Valley Stands Up (LVSU) is a new 501c4 grassroots organization formed by leaders from the 2018 Greg Edwards for Congress campaign (including Pastor Edwards). The aim is to build a multi-racial working class force for progressive change in the Lehigh Valley, making a difference on issues and elections in the years ahead.<\/p>\n To launch the chapter and get residents excited about the new year, LVSU will hold a community bonfire in the parking lot of Resurrected Life Church, where Greg Edwards is Senior Pastor. The theme is, \u201cBe Seen, Be Heard, Take Action\u201d. There will be activities for people of all ages and a chance to demonstrate the power of Lehigh Valley\u2019s working class community to make real change.<\/p>\n LVSU is one of nine chapter organizations of Pennsylvania Stands Up. PA Stands Up was born after the 2018 midterms when PA Together, Lancaster Stands Up, Beyond the Choir, and leaders from the Jess King for Congress and Greg Edwards for Congress campaigns joined forces to form a new statewide organization.
