We are thrilled to see this show continue to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n Genesis Ortega has a passion for community outreach, especially as it pertains to the Hispanic community. In 2019 she was named Hispanic Businessperson of the Year<\/a> during the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Business Awards. In addition to hosting, she serves as PBS39\u2019s first Community Correspondent, covering the Latino community for WLVR-FM<\/a>. Ortega also serves as a Board member of the F\u00e9 Foundation program, which brings together students, university faculties and local businesses and organizations in order to introduce comprehensive life skills and entrepreneurial training to high school students of the Lehigh Valley. Prior to joining the team at Lehigh Valley Public Media, she worked in Congressman Charlie Dent\u2019s office. There, she had the opportunity to interact with constituents and community leaders from across the 15th Congressional District in Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Lebanon, and Dauphin counties.<\/p>\n \u201cI am honored to work on a project that fulfills a need in our community,\u201d Ortega said. \u201cThis upcoming year, we plan to focus a lot more on the political power of Latinos in the quickly approaching presidential election, with the intention to empower and educate our community. I am proud of all we have done so far on Es Tiempo<\/i> and am excited to embark on our fourth season!\u201d<\/p>\n Victor Martinez, also known as VJ MAR, began his broadcast career in local Spanish radio in Orlando, Florida at the age of 13. At the age of 19, Martinez became one of the youngest program directors in the U.S. and was later recognized by R&R magazine for his promising talent. He’s currently the morning show host for La Mega 101 and has worked for WFMZ in Allentown. He later worked at NY1, Clear Channel Radio and Fox 5\/Georgia TV where he became an Emmy award-winning journalist. In 2007, he returned to Florida as the Managing Editor and Anchor of News 13 En Espa\u00f1ol, and then returned to radio as the Program Director at Caliente 105.3FM and then Program Director at El Zol 107.9.<\/p>\n \u201cI’m thrilled to be back for season four\u2014 every season has gotten bigger and better and this season will not be the exception,\u201d said Martinez. \u201cI’m looking forward to continuing our conversation about issues and topics that help our community grow.\u201d<\/p>\n The fourth season will look forward to many special guests including: newly elected and first Latino mayor of Reading, Eddie Moran, as well as the world’s quickest caricaturist, Alani Jimenez.
