(Southeastern Pennsylvania) Looking for a sweet get-away with your Valentine?\u00a0Jump in the car and enjoy a trip filled with destinations perfect for the wine and chocolate lover in each of us.\u00a0It\u2019s time for the annual Wine and Chocolate Pairing Weekends on the Berks County Wine trail, with two weekends to love!\u00a0This is the premier Berks County Wine Trail event that you won\u2019t want to miss.\u00a0You\u2019re going to find\u00a0delicious pairings of locally produced wines, chocolates, and chocolate confections at every stop along the way!<\/p>\n

Visit the wineries of the Berks County Wine Trail for Wine and Chocolate Pairing Weekends, February 8 & 9, and again February 15 & 16, noon until 5 PM all four days.\u00a0Advance purchase tickets are just $10 now through February 7 and $15 beginning February 8.\u00a0Purchase from the link on our website at www.berkscountywinetrail.com<\/a> (on-line fees apply) or at any of our wine trail locations (cash or checks only, please).\u00a0Your ticket includes wine and chocolate pairings at each of our 11 wineries and are good throughout both event weekends.\u00a0Most wineries have an additional tasting fee for their full wine menu.<\/p>\n

Setter Ridge Vineyards:<\/strong>\u00a0Setter Ridge Vineyards has a romantic Strawberry Rose Cake Truffle, made with Setter Ridge\u2019s Pinot Noir Rose wine and topped with White Chocolate, served with Pinot Noir Rose wine.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Weathered:<\/strong>\u00a0Trail-goers will be treated to a taste of nostalgia when Weathered serves classic Whoopie Pies with their choice of Merlot or sweet Twister wines.\u00a0The old-fashioned goodness of the chocolate cake and sweet vanilla cr\u00e8me sandwiches enhances the rich fruit tones of these timeless red wines.<\/p>\n

Stoudt Country Winery:<\/strong>\u00a0The long-time customer favorite chocolate fountains will flow white chocolate and milk chocolate for visitors to dip fruits, cookies, and other confections.\u00a0The dipping will be paired with chocolate covered strawberries and Stoudt\u2019s equally famous Strawberry wine.<\/p>\n

Long Trout Winery:<\/strong>\u00a0This stop is a wine- & chocolate-lover\u2019s dream where Chocolate wines are paired with a tasty assortment of home-made desserts!\u00a0Imaginatively named Chocolate wines include Mixed Berry, Strawberry, Cherry, Pear, and Orange flavors.\u00a0Together with the decadent dessert features, the hardest part is choosing a favorite!<\/p>\n

KOG Hill Winery:<\/strong>\u00a0Dark chocolate coated peppermint cream candy is a surprising combination with KOG Hill\u2019s Gew\u00fcrztraminer wine.\u00a0The Gewurztraminer, with its lovely floral aroma and hint-of-spice flavor, makes this pairing an especially romantic treat.<\/p>\n

Manatawny Creek Winery:<\/strong>\u00a0Wait until you taste the perfect-together combination of Manatawny\u2019s Cabernet Franc Port paired with a satin smooth Chocolate Mousse.\u00a0The sweet ruby-style port,\u00a0with it’s\u00a0rich aroma and luscious taste, is perfect for sipping with chocolate.<\/p>\n

Stonekeep Meadery:<\/strong>\u00a0Serious raspberry flavor in Stonekeep\u2019s sweet, but not too sweet, Raspberry Melomel, or honey wine, is paired with a chocolate coated cracker from Berks icon Billy’s Chocolates.\u00a0These crisp chocolate-covered wafers are an irresistible treat your taste buds will thank you for!<\/p>\n

Deerfoot Winery:<\/strong>\u00a0Customers will get their choice of pairing Deerfoot\u2019s Country Rose wine or opt for a taste of Dragon Heart Raspberry mead with Raspberry Chocolate Meltaways from Romolo Chocolate.\u00a0Then try a second pairing of dark chocolate with Deerfoot\u2019s Explorer label Port dessert wine.<\/p>\n
