On Saturday, Nov. 28, Let\u2019s Play Books!\u00a0 will act as a “Neighborhood Champion” for “Small Business Saturday” in Emmaus. Sponsored by American Express, Shop Small is a movement encouraging people to shop at small businesses the Saturday immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday.<\/p>\n

Millions of individuals, businesses, and communities have embraced it nationwide. The American Booksellers Association, of which Let\u2019s Play Books! is a member, has partnered with American Express to also present Indies First, a national campaign of activities and events in support of independent bookstores, first envisioned by author Sherman Alexie in 2013. It kicks off each November, on Small Business Saturday (Nov. 28), when independent bookstores host authors as honorary booksellers throughout the day.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>3pm\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Author MARK MAGRO – Surfacing ( Ages 10 & up) & Molly Magro, EPSD Library Chair\/Eyer Middle School Librarian<\/strong>

Honorary booksellers will also be talking up their favorite Emmaus and Lehigh Valley small businesses and restaurants.<\/p>\n
