From now through April 13, nominations are being accepted for visual, literary and performing artists, as well as arts educators who have made significant contributions to the arts through their work.<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 Linny Award categories open for submissions include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Visual Artist of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Performing Artist of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Emerging Artist of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Arts Educator of the Year<\/li>\n<li>Student Artist Scholarship Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any individual, business or community group interested in nominating a person for the Linny Awards can do so at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artsquestfoundation.org\/linnyawards\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.artsquestfoundation.org\/linnyawards&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1582764524480000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFY1NmfnmPPtmw3CgH4eJwz88iBng\">www.artsquestfoundation.org\/linnyawards<\/a>. Winners will be selected by the official Linny Awards jurying panel, with the winners announced in mid-June.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the awards made by the jurying panel, the ArtsQuest Foundation will present five awards to distinguished individuals from the region for their longtime commitment and dedication to the arts:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Pinnacle of the Arts Award<\/li>\n<li>Philanthropy in the Arts Award<\/li>\n<li>Lifetime Achievement Award<\/li>\n<li>Lifetime Achievement Volunteer Award<\/li>\n<li>Business Supporter of the Arts Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The winners of these awards will be announced in spring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe excitement for the Linny Awards continues to grow with each year, with a capacity crowd attending the event last year to celebrate the leaders of our thriving arts community,\u201d says ArtsQuest Foundation Executive Director Jane George. \u201cWe are thrilled to once again honor our artists, volunteers, educators and businesses who are helping to make a difference in our region\u2019s arts scene. If you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their work, or their support of the arts, we invite you to nominate them for one of the 2020 awards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All 2020 Linny Award winners will be honored during the Linny Awards ceremony Nov. 12 at Musikfest Caf\u00e9 presented by Yuengling, located in the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Previous Linny Award winners include Academy Award-winning costume designer Ann Roth, actor and director Daniel Roebuck, renowned artist Emil Lukas, actor and producer Daniel Dae Kim, actress and comedian Kate Micucci, 2019 Musikfest poster artist Jessica Bastidas, David Yanoshik of St. Luke\u2019s University Health Network, philanthropists Robert and Cindy Oster and four-time Pulitzer Prize winner Carol Guzy.<\/p>\n<p>ArtsQuest also has select opportunities for sponsors who are interested in saluting the \u2018rock stars\u2019 of the Lehigh Valley\u2019s arts scene. The Linnys are open to individuals living or working in Lehigh, Northampton, upper Bucks and upper Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania, as well as Warren County in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the Linny Awards go to support the nonprofit ArtsQuest Foundation, which Fowler helped found in 2003.
