(Eastern Pennsylvania)  Get your trail on!  New brochure/map now available for the Berks County Wine Trail! Bursting at the seams with the recent additions to the line-up of participating wineries – the wine trail of Berks County has a brand new brochure showing off the new wineries and the highways and by-ways for visiting them.

During your upcoming adventures with the wineries during Chocolate & Wine Pairing Event Weekend, grab a copy of this festive new brochure – in fact, grab one or two to share with friends!  Berks County Wine Trail features four themed events throughout the year during which all member wineries participate with showcasing one-of-a-kind pairings. Additionally, this trail which is open year round, offers a vast spectrum of wines to discover and taste. It is this diversity in winemaking styles that make this wine trail such a treat for visiting anytime.   Similar information is available on the wine trail’s website: www.berkscountywinetrail.com

Chocolate & Wine Pairing Event Weekend is February 11th & 12th, Noon to 5 PM both days and features unique pairing of chocolate or confections and wine at each winery stop.  Visitors are bound to fall in love with each pairing – from the cozy curling up with PB & J for grownups:  peanut butter chocolate paired with Kog Hill Winery’s Concord Wine;  or the gloriously gourmet and Gluten-free, Chocolate Mousse “trifle” paired with an elegant blend of white wine called Morning Glory from Stone Barn Cellars. The full menu of wine & chocolate pairings is now available on the wine trail’s “event” page on the trail website: http://www.berkscountywinetrail.com/coming_events1.php     Plan your self-guided tour of the wine trail with your new map brochure and list of chocolates & wines that put a little love in your heart.

This event is free and no reservations are required.  It will be a delightful way to spend the day with your Valentine: alone time in the car taking in the Winter scenery of Berks County.  What the heck, make a weekend out of it: two area hotels in support of this event are offering sweetheart discounts:  Crowne Plaza Hotel in West Reading and the Microtel in Hamburg. Eleven wineries over two days – now that’s wine love!  Hotel details available on the wine trail’s  “events” page.
