Double The Love with your Valentine – 2 weekends of Chocolate & Wine tastings with the Berks County Wine Trail

(Eastern Pennsylvania) For many years there has been so much to love during the Berks County Wine Trail’s annual “Chocolate & Wine Pairing Event Weekend”  and with the wine trail growing (2 new wineries joined the trail this year), boasting a dozen wineries now, the wine trail wanted to be sure that there was ample time to visit them all during any of the yearly special events. For all you Valentines out there – you can enjoy two weekends of tasting amazing wines of the region paired with a sweet array of chocolates & confections…double the love! Visit the wineries of the Berks County Wine Trail February 10th & 11th and/or February 17th & 18th (Noon to 5 PM all dates).  Tickets are $10/ea if purchased prior to any of the event dates ($12/ea if purchased on the day of the event) and are available for purchase at www.localwineevents.com (https://www.localwineevents.com/tickets/i_want/705767).  Tickets are valid for any of the event dates; also this tour event is self-guided, so you can let your taste buds guide you or plan based on your own preference for adventure.

To help you frame up your tour itinerary, we suggest the two new member wineries as delightful places to visit during this event weekend: Deerfoot Winery in Shoemakersville and Stonekeep Meadery (tasting room in Jim Thorpe).  In planning your day or weekend with your sweetheart to celebrate Valentines’ Day, be sure to pick up a bottle or two of wine for dinner afterwards.  Singles, grab some friends and pile in the car and enjoy a Winter day out sampling amazing wines paired with bites of sweet decadence. The full tasting menu for Wine & Chocolate is a available on the events page at www.berkscountywinetrail.com; however, to preview what’s in store at some of the stops along the way, pairings include tastes of salted apple caramel blondies accented with sparkling wine; homemade chocolate cake with mulled wine; donut cake bites with sultry dry red wine; chocolate cheese cake with raspberry drizzle paired with Merlot; or hot cocoa cookies paired with a red wine blend. Visit the trail’s event page for more alluring combinations to be enjoyed during your tour.  Plus, you can keep the sweet magic of the weekend going when you purchase bottles of wine to bring home with you, too.  Wines from the Berks County Wine Trail wineries are not only fantastic with chocolates but they are delightful with an array of foods, appetizers or just for sitting around enjoying an afternoon sunset.
