Professional track sprint cyclist partners with low-sugar frozen custard brand to bring awareness to the Type 1 diabetes community –

AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 19, 2020) – Professional track sprint cyclist and Olympic hopeful Mandy Marquardt announced today a partnership with Mammoth Creameries, a diabetic-friendly frozen custard made with wholesome, natural ingredients. Marquardt, a three-time U.S. record holder and 18-time national champion, will be part of a media campaign for Mammoth Creameries and feature the brand on her new web site, mandymarquardt.com.

Marquardt has raced professionally for 10 years for Team Novo Nordisk, the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team and for the USA Cycling National Team. USA Cycling recently named Mandy to the Long Team for track cycling at the Tokyo Olympic Games, which has been rescheduled for summer 2021.

Marquardt, who lives and races with Type 1 diabetes, is happy to forge a relationship with a brand that offers a delicious treat that’s sensitive to sugar-conscious diets and lifestyles.

“I am proud to represent a brand like Mammoth Creameries as their values and lifestyle so closely reflect mine,” said Marquardt. “Using only grass-fed and high-quality ingredients, their ice cream is low in sugar but is still a deliciously sweet and safe treat. Their Lemon Buttercream flavor is my absolute favorite! The founder, Tim Krauss who also lives with Type 1 diabetes, started the company with his wife, Susan. I’m excited to support and partner with a Type 1 owned company.”

Mammoth Creameries was born out of an ice cream craving and a desire to keep the founder’s sugar intake down. Each pint is low-sugar, nutrient-dense, and lovingly made with less than 10 clean ingredients. The frozen treat satisfies the sweet tooth without spiking the blood sugar of diabetics.

“We are thrilled to partner with a phenomenal athlete that truly aligns with our values as a brand,” said Krauss. “Mandy lives out our belief that diabetes changes your way of life but won’t hold you back. Together, we are excited to raise awareness of the options available to our Type 1 friends.”

Marquardt is an active ambassador for many organizations, including TrueSport, The Taylor Hooton Foundation, The American Diabetes Association and the St. Luke’s University Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She is passionate about being a role model for young girls worldwide as well as for everyone affected by diabetes and resides in Allentown, PA.

Mammoth Creameries is available at over 1,000 retail stores across the United States in four pint-sized options including Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Lemon Buttercream.

About Mammoth Creameries

Mammoth Creameries was founded and created by Susan and Tim Krauss and their four children in 2017. Born in their very own kitchen, Mammoth was created after Tim was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes. After the diagnosis, Susan and Tim changed their diet completely focusing on low-carb, low-sugar and high-fat, but there was no ice cream available that fit their lifestyle. Susan began experimenting in their kitchen to create a delicious ice cream that fit their diet; thus, Mammoth Creameries was born. Based out of Austin Texas, Mammoth Creameries is a keto friendly, diabetic conscious frozen custard made with real, natural ingredients like grass-fed butter and high quality heavy cream. The gluten-free frozen treat is currently available in four creamy and delicious flavors, Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter and Lemon Buttercream. Pints of Mammoth Creameries are currently available for purchase at retail stores across the US including Whole Foods.
