The documentary shares stories of how our community works together to build opportunities for people with disabilities

Bethlehem, PA. – September 8, 2020 – Lehigh Valley Arts Council is excited to announce Champions of Inclusion, the documentary, which will air exclusively on PBS39, September 15, at 8 p.m.

As the Americans with Disabilities Act marked its 30th anniversary on July 26, 2020, people across the country with disabilities celebrated this coming of age politically. With the passage of this legislation 30 years ago, access became a civil right, and people with disabilities were no longer isolated or invisible.

“I’m so proud we can lend a platform to the Lehigh Valley Arts Council and the disability-friendly community of the Greater Lehigh Valley. Showcasing the immense talent across our community is what keeps us all civically engaged and inspired every day,” said Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer, Lehigh Valley Public Media.

This documentary follows the stories of mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, activists, and advocates who have nurtured a culture of accessibility, opportunity and belonging in the Lehigh Valley.

Champions of Inclusion will air on PBS39, and will be streamed live at PBS39.org. Check your local listings to find PBS39/WLVT on your cable or satellite provider.
