Second Harvest Food Bank Announces Annual Community Harvest Gala on Saturday, April 25 from 5 – 9 PM

Nazareth, PA (April 22, 2026) — Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley will host its signature fundraising event, the Community Harvest Gala, on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Second Harvest Food Bank Warehouse, 6969 Silver Crest Road, Nazareth, PA.

This special evening offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the heart of Second Harvest’s operations, where food is received, packed, and distributed to thousands of neighbors across six counties. The event will celebrate the mission of fighting hunger while raising critical funds to support local families, seniors, veterans, and individuals facing food insecurity.

Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening featuring dinner, community connection, and a firsthand look at the impact of Second Harvest Food Bank’s work throughout the region.

This year’s gala will be hosted by two respected Lehigh Valley communications professionals: Hernán Morissi, bilingual journalist, WFMZ 69 En Espanol News anchor, and founder of Morissi Creative Group, and Genesis Ortega, Public Affairs & Policy Officer for Allentown City Council and longtime community leader.

The evening will also feature a special culinary experience from Chef Angelo Napoli, owner and Executive Chef of Modern Fusion Catering. Chef Napoli will prepare a thoughtfully curated dinner inspired by common pantry staples, highlighting the nutritious foods Second Harvest provides through its network of more than 200 partner agencies.

The 2026 gala theme, Packed with Purpose, reflects the life-changing impact of every food share box distributed by Second Harvest Food Bank. Funds raised during the event will directly support food share boxes and associated costs, helping ensure neighbors have access to nutritious food when they need it most.

“Every box packed and every dollar raised helps us provide meals, hope, and dignity to those facing hunger in our community,”  “The Community Harvest Gala is an opportunity to come together and make a meaningful difference.” said Sandra Bieber, Chief Philanthropy Officer at Community Action Lehigh Valley.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available, but time is limited. Community members are encouraged to secure their seats now.
