March 4, 2026 – Allentown City Council will host a series of public meetings in collaboration with key local partners as part of Council’s commitment to being better informed to make better decisions throughout the year, while advancing intergovernmental cooperation and solutions-focused leadership on behalf of residents.
These sessions are designed to give residents the opportunity to see their elected officials and partners working together, in real time, to address shared priorities and strengthen coordination across agencies. Each meeting will be informational in nature, with no votes taken, and will focus on identifying areas for improved alignment and future action.
Lehigh County Commissioners and members of the City & County Administrations
Thursday, March 5 at 6:00 PM as part of Council’s Rules, Chambers, Intergovernmental Relations, and Strategy Committee (agenda attached)
Purpose: To explore expanded City–County collaboration in areas including housing development, homelessness response, mental health services, public health coordination, and youth engagement.
Allentown School Board and members of the City & District Administrations
Scheduling details will be announced soon as part of Council’s Rules, Chambers, Intergovernmental Relations, and Strategy Committee
Purpose: To review short-term and long-term goals between the City and the School District, with a focus on strengthening opportunities and outcomes for Allentown’s youth.
Allentown Parking Authority
Wednesday, April 8 at 6:00 PM as a Special Meeting of Council
Purpose: To provide a general overview of the Authority’s mission, responsibilities, and role in managing parking throughout the city, and to foster continued communication between Council and the Authority.
Allentown Neighborhood Improvement Zone Development Authority (ANIZDA)
Wednesday, April 22 at 6:00 PM as a Special Meeting of Council
Purpose: To receive updates from ANIZDA and review its impact on the City of Allentown, ensuring Council and the public remain informed about ongoing development initiatives.
All meetings will be held in Council Chambers at Allentown City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18101. To promote accessibility and encourage participation, City Council offers free parking in the Government Deck for all Council meetings. Residents may receive a parking voucher from the City Clerk after the meeting.
Allentown City Council meets regularly at City Hall to consider legislation, discuss community priorities, and advance policies that support the city’s continued growth and well-being. These collaborative sessions reflect Council’s commitment to good government — fostering open dialogue, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring residents can see how their elected leaders work together on their behalf.
