Northampton County, PA – Northampton County Executive Lamont G. McClure and the Division of Parks and Recreation are accepting applications for the 2025 Livable Landscapes Grant Program until 1 PM, April 4, 2025. Grant applications and related documents are in the Neighborly Northampton County Participant Portal at https://www.norcopa.gov/parks-and-recreation.
The Livable Landscapes Grant Program provides grant opportunities to eligible applicants in land preservation, ecological restoration, education and outreach, park rehabilitation and development, and regional trails in Northampton County. Annual program priorities are consistent with the goals of the Livable Landscapes – An Open Space Plan for Northampton County.
The Division of Parks and Recreation will host an informational grant workshop and individual pre-application meetings with eligible potential 2025 grant applicants. Participation in the duration of the grant workshop is strongly encouraged. Participation in an independent pre-application meeting is required. If applicants are applying to PA DCNR as a match, a joint meeting is necessary.
2025 Livable Landscapes Grant Round Timeline:
- Virtual Grant Workshop – Wednesday, February 19 at 1 PM
– Register in the Parks & Recreation’s RecDesk portal at
https://norcoparks.recdesk.com/Community/Calendar by 11 am,
February 19 to receive the Zoom link from Sherry Acevedo. - Pre-application meeting (required) – schedule and complete a virtual or on-site meeting to discuss your project intent with Sherry Acevedo by March 28 at sacevedo@norcopa.gov
- Applications due by 1 PM, April 4, 2025 – in the Neighborly Northampton County Grant Portal
- June 2025 – Anticipated grant award
- December 31, 2027 – Grant expiration

McClure, County Executive. “Since 2006, Northampton County invested $21.7 million awarding 186 Livable Landscapes grants in open space land preservation, ecological restoration, municipal park enhancements, municipal conservation planning, and regional trails.”
