(LEHIGH VALLEY, PA) – On Thursday, February 4, at 11 a.m. (until supplies are exhausted), Aspire to Autonomy Inc., will host its fourth food distribution for the underserved and unsheltered members of our community in two locations:

  • Location One: Centennial Park, 12th and Ferry streets, Easton, PA
  • Location Two: New Bethany Ministries, 333 West Fourth Street, Bethlehem, PA

Food insecurity continues to be an ongoing issue as we continue to battle the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Northampton County. Since April, ASPIRE has distributed:

  • 4,451 individuals with hand sanitizer
  • 1,028 families with safety kits (4 masks and 2 bottles of hand sanitizer)
  • 40 pounds of food to 350 individuals

Aspire to Autonomy Inc., is a local non-profit organization who has recognized the need for food and PPE during the pandemic, while continuing to act on their mission and combat human trafficking. ASPIRE is partnering with other community organizations such as Just Born, New Bethany Ministries, and Change on Third to continue the efforts of supplying food to the underserved and unsheltered community members.

The mission of New Bethany Ministries is an interfaith, non-profit organization with its main location in Southside Bethlehem. The organization is home to many in need throughout the Lehigh Valley, and the additional sites in Bethlehem, Allentown, and Coplay allow for the organization to magnify its Valley-wide impact. New Bethany Ministries provides food support, hygiene support, wellness programming, transitional housing, permanent affordable housing, and financial case management to individuals and families who are working toward self-sufficiency.

Founded in 2018, Aspire to Autonomy Inc. has been on the front lines in the fight against trafficking in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. ASPIRE is A Supportive Presence, Initiating Recovery and Empowerment that provides an opportunity for growth and development and fosters autonomy. ASPIRE believes in the cultivation of resources, services, community, and human relationships to foster equity and allow dreams of freedom and independence to become a reality.
