The newly created role of financial coordinator expands duties within the nonprofit and continues to ensure New Bethany’s financial stability.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (May 1, 2024)- New Bethany, a local nonprofit that provides nutritious food access, housing, and social services, announced the promotion of Isaiah Price to financial coordinator in the nonprofit’s finance department. In his new role, Price is responsible for updating and maintaining the nonprofit’s financial spreadsheets, performing regular internal audits and account reconciliations, and supporting the finance team.

“With consistently demonstrated dedication to New Bethany’s financial integrity, Isaiah’s promotion reflects his proven ability to navigate complex financial matters with precision and compassion,” said New Bethany’s Finance Director Tina Sargent. “We are confident that in his new role, Isaiah will continue to excel, further enhancing our financial operations and contributing to the continued success of New Bethany.”

As a financial coordinator, Price works closely with the finance director, controller and program staff to handle tasks including data input, reporting, filing and organizing records. Additionally, he manages 1099-MISC work for the organization, coordinates invoices for payment, and acts as a liaison between the housing assistance and finance teams, matching incoming housing funds with clients who use the nonprofit’s services and ensuring that rental assistance and other housing funds are properly spent.

“Isaiah’s expanded role as financial coordinator plays a vital part in strengthening our financial management practices, ensuring greater efficiency, transparency, and sustainability as we continue to serve our community,” said New Bethany’s Associate Executive Director Veronne Demsyeux. “His promotion not only recognizes his outstanding contributions but also signifies an important milestone in New Bethany’s journey of organizational growth.

Price began working at New Bethany in the nonprofit’s housing assistance program in February 2023, where he was responsible for professionally and efficiently managing all grant compliance and funding sources for the program. In this position, Price worked in a first-of-its-kind program that required a high level of adaption and flexibility as the housing assistance program evolved. He conducted comprehensive financial calculations of applications, analyzed complex work situations accurately, adopted effective courses of action and provided tenants with financial counseling services. Moreover, he played a key role in developing and implementing landlord engagement plans, reviewing financial aspects of housing assistance applications, and coordinating funding reviews with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate services.

A graduate of Temple University, Price has worked in the finance industry for over a decade. Before joining New Bethany, he worked at ADPWells FargoCitizens Financial Group and PNC Financial Services Group, Inc.
