Lamont McClure and Emergency Management Services announces that Northampton County was successfully added to the small list of counties that will be offered Individual Assistance (IA) for residents affected by Hurricane Ida. IA will provide grants, low-interest loans and other resources to help families which experienced loss and or damages due to the tropical storm.

FEMA is scheduled to begin sending teams around Northampton County on September 27th. The teams will visit the hardest hit areas and attempt to make face-to-face contact with those severely affected by the storm.

“Ida caused a lot of damage in our county, especially in our southern municipalities,” says Lamont McClure. “I encourage anyone whose home or property was impacted to apply for assistance.”

Individuals affected by the storm should register with FEMA online at disasterassistance.gov, through the FEMA app or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585. Helpline services are available seven days a week from 7:00AM to 1:00AM ET.
