County Executive Lamont G. McClure and the Department of Community and Economic Development announced the award of a $2.33 million HOME-American Rescue Plan Program grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The HOME-American Rescue Plan Program (HOME-ARP) is an allocation of funds from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which included a number of provisions to be administered by HUD and other agencies to provide assistance with support services such as housing search activities, transportation, case management mediation, credit repair, services towards special projects, the development of affordable rental housing projects, non-profit operating support, and administration and planning support.

“Northampton County is ready to assist and will continue to support a number of programs and agencies to provide direct support to any of our residents experiencing being without a home and want to improve their quality of life through housing,” says Lamont G. McClure.
