The Lehigh Valley-based nonprofit is partnering with career support specialist Tom Dowd to assist new talent relocating to Lehigh Valley.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (February 11, 2025) – LINC, a nonprofit organization committed to fostering welcoming and inclusive workplaces and communities, announced its partnership with Dowd Career Consulting, whose founder, Tom Dowd, will provide career coaching and personalized networking assistance to LINC’s clients who have relocated to the Lehigh Valley and are actively seeking employment.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Tom Dowd to enhance our career support program and create even more opportunities for individuals as they build successful careers in the region,” said LINC President Katelyn Mack. “Tom’s decades of experience and his ability to help individuals navigate complex career transitions make him an invaluable addition to our team.”
With extensive experience providing personalized professional coaching and development, Dowd will work directly with clients through LINC’s career support program, which is provided to spouses or partners of people who have already accepted a position in the Lehigh Valley and now need to find a new job for themselves in the area. Through LINC’s network of employer and community partners, the organization aims to reduce by 30% the time it takes for relocating working professionals to find jobs – from an average of 6 months to less than 4. Through this collaboration, LINC hopes to assist even more job seekers relocating to the area.
Dowd joins a team of career specialists that ensure job seekers’ individual needs are met by providing information and resources related to career goals, networking with employers’ senior management, hiring managers and recruiters, actively marketing clients’ job skills to a variety of employers, and communicating directly with the client on a regular basis. LINC’s vast network of more than 70 employer partners in the greater Lehigh Valley region ensures its career support specialists can support job seekers across a variety of industries and roles.
Dowd began his career in workforce development in Philadelphia, where he discovered his passion for helping people articulate their values and navigate complex hiring processes. Most recently, he was the director of career coaching at Guild, where he established the company’s first career coaching team for Fortune 500 employees.
