Downtown Allentown Alliance Appoints Jill Brader Meyers Acting Director
ALLENTOWN, PA, June 4, 2025 —The Downtown Allentown Alliance (DAA), a new organization formed to build on the tremendous success downtown Allentown has achieved over the past decade, announced today that it has appointed Jill Brader Meyers as its Acting Director, effective immediately.
Meyers was appointed Acting Director through an in-kind donation of her time from City Center Group, where she held various marketing and community affairs roles since 2017, most recently serving as Director of Community Relations & Communications. While stepping away from her role at City Center, Meyers brings deep knowledge of downtown Allentown’s assets and challenges. Her loaned- executive appointment reflects City Center’s commitment to establishing DAA as an independent and sustainable organization.
The DAA, which officially launched in 2025, is dedicated to strategically increasing activation and engagement, retail variety and support, clean and safe streets, recognition of diverse cultures, and positive public perception of downtown Allentown. The DAA works to meet its goals for continuously improving downtown Allentown through community input, public and private funding and, a recent partnership with United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.
Last year, the DAA Steering Committee led by Sen. Nick Miller partnered with Public Sphere Projects, a national planning consultant, to develop a comprehensive strategy to cohesively manage and boost Downtown Allentown’s many assets. Using public input from surveys and events, retailer market analysis, and stakeholder focus groups, the firm recommended DAA focus on four strategic pillars:
- Enhance Engagement & Vibrancy
- Inspire Loyalty & Advocacy
- Curate a Dynamic Retail Landscape
- Celebrate and Elevate Cultural Heritage
As an employee of City Center, Meyers spearheaded comprehensive marketing strategies across the company’s multifaceted portfolio that helped generate leads and leases for City Center’s residential and office businesses. She also led City Center’s community engagement, implementing events and activation that drove visitors
downtown, and managed the company’s philanthropy and community affairs.
Prior to City Center, Meyers worked at United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley for seven years, most recently as Assistant Director of Digital Marketing. While there, she led a website redesign and content strategy that increased online awareness by 75 percent and digital media ad campaigns that captured new leads. She began her career as Marketing Manager at Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Trexlertown.
In addition to serving on the DAA Board of Directors, Meyers is a member of the boards of Discover Lehigh Valley, the Allentown Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s Marketing Advisory. She is a past recipient of Lehigh Valley Business’ Forty Under 40 Award, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Finest Under 40 Award and multiple American Advertising Federation Awards. Meyers holds a bachelor’s degree in digital communications and English from Lebanon Valley College.
