Grace Montessori School Announces Open Call for Board Members

All backgrounds are welcome to apply, especially those with local business and community connections.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Oct. 27, 2025) Grace Montessori School, a nonprofit school and childcare center serving children ages 15 months through sixth grade, is seeking new members to join its board of directors. Positions are for a three-year term with new members beginning to serve immediately upon election, and an opportunity to serve two consecutive terms.

“Grace Montessori School wouldn’t be what it is today without the dedication, insight and support of our board,” said Director of Grace Montessori School Radhika Hoshing. “As a small nonprofit, we rely on the guidance of dedicated individuals who believe in our mission and are willing to help us grow, adapt and serve our community.”

This is an open invitation to apply, and Grace Montessori encourages those with experience in law, real estate, business and finance, community services and local business connections to submit their interest.

Board members will support Grace Montessori’s mission while also contributing to the organization’s future growth and development. With 35% of students receiving scholarship aid, Grace Montessori is committed to diversity, equity and improving the lives of children across the Lehigh Valley.

Board requirements include availability and a commitment to attend six board meetings per year, held every other month on the third Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Additionally, board members must be at least 25 years old, and are expected to actively engage with the Grace Montessori community through volunteering, events or advocacy.

The deadline for submitting applications is December 1, 2025.

About Grace Montessori School

Grace Montessori School was established in 1992. A nonprofit school and childcare center, we are members of the American Montessori Society, licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, and registered as a private, non-public school with the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We strive to educate the whole child – cognitively, spiritually, and physically, and our classroom environments are large, inviting, and well-equipped with age-appropriate, developmentally designed materials. As an Episcopal School, we value nurturing the whole child by providing opportunities for Spiritual,

Social-Emotional, and Cognitive development. We seek and welcome the cultural, socioeconomic, and religious differences of our families and weave them into the common life of our students and staff.
