Community Organizations Sponsored Free hot chocolate on Move it Mondays and Donate Passes to Local Families*
ALLENTOWN — Two local organizations joined forces this holiday season to ensure more families could experience the magic of Lights in the Parkway. Friends of the Allentown Parks and Allentown Rotary collaborated to sponsor hot chocolate on Monday nights during the annual Lights in the Parkway event, which featured Free Move it Mondays at Lights in the Park.
The partnership demonstrated the spirit of community giving in action. When both organizations received complimentary passes to attend Lights in the Park, they chose to pay it forward. Instead of using the passes themselves, Friends of the Allentown Parks and Allentown Rotary donated a combined total of 45 passes to Camelot, enabling children and their families to enjoy the spectacular light displays and festivities.
“This collaboration represents what our community is all about—coming together to create memorable experiences for families who might not otherwise have the opportunity,” said a Rosaria Stoops, Executive Director and member of Allentown Rotary. “We’re grateful to have been able to provide hot chocolate to warm up Monday night visitors and to share the joy of Lights in the Parkway with even more children through Camelot.”
The Free Move it Monday initiative, combined with the complimentary hot chocolate and donated passes, made the Lights in the Parkway experience accessible and enjoyable for a broader segment of the Allentown community during the holiday season.
Both organizations expressed their commitment to continuing similar community-focused partnerships in the future.
