McKinley Elementary School to Celebrate Student Leadership

Allentown, PA (May 5, 2016)   On Tuesday, May 10, McKinley Elementary School will host their 2nd annual Leadership Day for their students from 1:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. The event is part of their Leader In Me school program. It represents the culmination of McKinley student’s talents and leadership skills that have been cultivated throughout the year.

“This day is all about THEM,” states McKinley Principal Scott Cole. “It’s an opportunity for the students to showcase their own work in their own words in a way that makes them proud. It’s a true celebration of our students’ accomplishments.”

The Leader in Me program is a whole school transformation process that is aligned with building skills in leadership, responsibility, accountability, problem solving, creativity, communications, and teamwork. The program teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

McKinley Elementary School is located at 1124 W Turner Street in Allentown.
