Bethlehem, Pa… How are you doing? Mother Nature decided to run from summer and dive into fall. She also brought some magic during several songs. She loved Dirty Honey and THE STRUTS. It was a celebration. The ten-year anniversary of The STRUTS album.

“It’s f*cking magic, isn’t it.” The lead singer of THE STRUTS talking about music, dreams, life, working with THE STRUTS for around 17 years. What a SHOW. OHHHH, MY GOODNESS. It was beautiful.  Tonight, Bethlehem got to vibe outside at Levitt Pavillion. I felt so fortunate to run in to familiar friends, and as always, I met some new friends.

was inspired tonight because of my dear friend, Diane.  I felt her spirit, and the essence of what all of have been doing for years. I grew up loving music. I cannot even imagine life without music.

I want to say THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH TO Jennifer LaConte, to ArtsQuest, to every staff member, to the awesome ladies who told me, “YOU HAVE ROCK STAR HAIR!” Thank you for that. The Bethlehem Police Department working hard keeping everyone safe. The staff making sure everyone knew where they were going. This show was so much more than a concert, and our beloved STRUTS lead singer advised he would be “shaking his ass,” so he hoped all of us would dance and shake right along with him.

THE STRUTS always has that light, fun feel, but with a deep emotional, I want to sob on the bathroom floor feel. The lead singer also reminds me that somewhere there is a QUEEN and Mick Jagger influence, with some of Tim Curry floating around.

Let’s take a moment to talk about Dirty Honey, BECAUSE, HONEY, They make you want you want to get nice and gritty. They were paying deep homage to Rock-N-Roll. They CAME TO PLAY MUSIC and they did an amazing job.  They completely amped the crowd up for THE STRUTS. It was a tad cold; it drizzled a bit. The lead singer of THE STRUTS.

Dirty Honey is: Marc LaBelle, John Notto, Justin Smolian, and Jaydon Bean. They are from Los Angeles, CA.

The Struts are: Luke Spiller, Adam Slack, Jed Elliott, and Gethin Davies. They performed songs from the ICONIC album, Everybody Wants. It was high-energy, and just magic. It was beautiful, and fun. The interaction with the crowd, everyone clapping, and singing. The tiny bit of misting courtesy of mother nature didn’t stop anyone. It was bliss mixed with exquisite euphoria. Songs like, “Dirty Sexy Money,” “Body Talks,” “Mary Go Round,” and so many more. Songs that bring on memories, they take you to places you love with people you love. Its heartbreak mixed with wild nights.

Dirty Honey performed some new music, that was awesome. They performed a beautiful variety, and kept that homage to Rock-N-Roll moving along. Songs including: “California Dreamin’,” “Rolling 7’s,” “Heartbreaker,” and more. They completely interacted with the crowd, and once again, they just amped everybody up for THE STRUTS. This is one of the best concerts I have seen in a long time. If you get the chance, go and see DIRTY HONEY, and THE STRUTS to keep that magic going.
