Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts hosts Hispanic Heritage Celebration

BETHLEHEM, PA—The Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts (Charter Arts) Theatre Department Alumni Artist-in-Residency Program is hosting a special event,  “Hispanic Heritage Month- Celebration of the Arts” on Saturday, September 30, 2023.  This is a FREE event and open to the public. Attendees can enjoy food vendors, artists and performers in the school’s Commons Cafe from 12-4 PM. A special performance will also take place in the Charter Arts Theatre at 4:30 PM.

According to Charter Arts’ Artistic Director of Theatre, Kelly Minner-Bickert: “This event is a celebration to unite the Hispanic artist community in the Lehigh Valley filled with food, music, dancing, and other special performances. Coming together to uplift art and artists of the community as well as those who paved the way.”

ABOUT THE CHARTER ARTS THEATRE DEPARTMENT:

The Charter Arts Theatre Department offers a pre-professional training program for high school-aged performers. The goal of the department’s curriculum is to provide students with the skills they will need to move on to competitive college programs as well as professional theatre experiences. Classes are designed to encourage students to create imaginative and compelling characters, to regard their voices and bodies as creative instruments, to expose them to theatrical literature and to instill in them a sense of respect and professionalism for the art form that will stay with them throughout their lives.
