SouthSide Film Festival announces final submission deadline 21st annual fest in Bethlehem, PA: June 2025

Submissions will soon close for independent films to be included in the 21st annual SouthSide Film Festival in Bethlehem, PA, scheduled for June 10-14, 2025.

A late submission option is available until March 1, at an additional rate, and a student discount is available for all submission dates. All submissions must be made through filmfreeway.com/SouthSideFilmFestivalBethlehemPA. Notifications will be made by May 1, 2025.

Each year, the festival features invitational and jury selection films of all lengths, genres, years of production, and budget, including student and professional films. Per the all-volunteer organizers, “All we look for is storytelling.”

They continue, “Our atmosphere is relaxed and conducive to filmmakers enjoying their works being presented professionally. Our only competition is that we are only able to select a very low percentage of films submitted and we do one audience award on the last evening of the festival.”

Filmmakers chosen to participate can expect professional screening equipment, media exposure, inclusion in the festival program and website, free housing, and entry fee waiver for any future festivals, among other benefits.

The SouthSide Film Festival is run by a diverse group of community members all dedicated to promoting independent films, while helping to create a community of enthusiasts for the art of independent filmmaking.
