17 High Schools to Compete in Ninth Annual Jazz Band Showcase at SteelStacks in February and March

BETHLEHEM, PA—High school bands from Pennsylvania and New Jersey return to the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Café Feb. 23 and March 8 for the ninth annual SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase presented by King, Spry, Herman, Freund & Faul, LLC. Tickets for the event’s preliminary rounds are $7 per session and on sale now at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378. 

The 17 jazz bands this year will perform in front of a live audience and a judging panel. Top bands from the preliminary rounds will then advance to the finals on March 29, 4 p.m. The showcase is made possible in 2020 in part by a $20,000 National Endowment for the Arts Art Works grant supporting ArtsQuest’s jazz programming for the region.
